Eve Hallows' 18th birthday comes with an unexpected family legacy of magic. ⭐⭐⭐ – All Hallows' Eve — Witchy Training Wheels All Hallows’ Eve feels a lot like Sabrina the Teenage Witch — just aimed at a slightly younger audience. That may well be time catching up with me, since I was younger myself when I watched Sabrina, but the comparison is hard to ignore. The setup is almost identical: a young woman reaches a milestone age (here it’s 18), suddenly becomes aware of her powers, and chaos-hijinks ensue as she figures out what that actually means. The tone is light, safe, and very much on the family-friendly end of the spectrum. There’s nothing here that pushes boundaries or gets genuinely spooky; it’s more about magical mishaps than menace. If anything, it feels like a simplified, budget-conscious take on a familiar formula — which is why my best description is Temu Sabrina. That’s not meant as an insult. The film does what it sets out to do well enough, and younger viewers or casual Halloween-watchers will probably get exactly what they want out of it. For me, though, there wasn’t quite enough substance to make it memorable or worth revisiting. Not a bad movie, just a very disposable one — pleasant while it’s on, then quickly forgotten. 🍬 Pairing: A small bag of mixed lollies — fun for a moment, sweet enough to enjoy, but not something you’ll crave again anytime soon.
