- Omer Naor2026年2月24日A movie about bunch of pompous fools who talk about how deeply and profound the drawing of a small dot on a big white sheet. Beautifully shot, stellar performance by Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield and Michael Stuhlbarg yet terrible acting by Ayo Edebiri but didn't expected her to bring something anything else than "woke" energy. The main theme revolves around the unbridgeable between the to generations during a very critical period and well executed.

Very predictable, some questionable directive designs (The 4 minutes of loud pendalum overlays wasn't annoying at all), backed by a roughly 2 hour runtime of faux intellectuals spouting philosophical debates, while having stereotypical Hollywood university parties. However, all of that said, not the worst movie! Saved by a pretty good cast.

- cultfilmliker2025年10月22日Still in absolute awe at that interview where they seem to miss every contributing variable to the film’s plot Much too think about (but seriously) I see people saying it is muddled but I think that’s the point! That said, some of the critiques are valid esp the way the first secret is discovered lol But I loved the direction that everyone else doesn’t seem to understand / enjoy ! Thought the visual switches from the personal to impersonal were inspired and didn’t hate the Jodorowsky wall-break like everybody else lol The concept of tenure in this climate is kinda fascinating! Effective despite the clunkiness. Love reading every one’s feelings on the actors and characters. So many differing opinions lolol also I took a very different view of what the Woody Allen titles meant than everyone else apparently Also still cannot believe Chloe Sevigny took that photo with Marilyn Manson. Kinda fitting with that conversation about Morrissey tho! NOTE: I could not read Alma’s email in the epilogue bc of my eyesight. Someone remind me to look it up when this comes out on home video plz Watched at Warren Regal 21 Added to 2025 Ranked

From my perspective, only someone like Luca Guadagnino could offer streams of circuitous talk about existential ethics and morality hinged on gender and generation and make it interesting. Nonetheless, I believe that almost everyone will take away something different from this film based on their demographic.
- Kevin Ward2026年1月3日Another miss for me from Luca Guadagnino, unfortunately. After the Hunt feels like it’s straining to provoke conversation intent on crafting a morally gray, “both sides” examination of an alleged sexual assault. The way it goes about it often feels self-important rather than genuinely interrogative. The manner in which the characters debate these positions bordered on obnoxious. That said, Julia Roberts is very good here. I’d honestly love to see her continue down this path of more complicated dramatic roles instead of retreating back into snarky rom-com territory.

It’s less about answers and more about the discomfort of sitting with the questions.
