There are so many disparate tales each told by a legendary actor... who only has 3 minutes of screen time to make anything happen. It all feels hugely rushed yet way too long. Gene Hackman's offensively bad attempt at a Polish accent should probably have just been cut from the movie entirely. The vast quantity of military vehicles and gear used is ambitious and commands attention, but never really rewards it with a story that feels complete.
