This isn't explored in depth, and what these doors are isn't well understood. Although the story has a certain romantic connotation that manages to resonate deeply, I still don't quite understand the script.
- Rick Masters16. oktober 2025Im a big fan of films that dig a little deeper and A BIG BOLD BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY certainly has its moments… Its also an interesting concept that starts light hearted, quirky and weird but soon starts to drown itself in soppiness and grief. Tie in predictability and poor chemistry between its two stars and what your left with an interesting yet flawed film.
- craigg7517. oktober 2025A movie about two self obessed narcissists. I had zero empathy for either one of them. I didn't care if they got together or went their own way. I gave up 75% of the way through. I just couldn't care less about the story, about these two whatevers and realized I'm wasting my life trying to like these two people. Final note, this feels like a movie that was adapted from a play.
- markbuttenshaw15. november 2025Absolutely incredibly coloured visuals paired with a standout score by Joe Hisaishi, creating a dreamy vibes in the likes of a Ghibli movie or Your Name. Though the plot could have been a little more fleshed out or cut shorter, if you put in the effort to think about what the movie is trying to say, and take it for how it is even if it is nonsensical, you will get out a beautiful message in the end.
