- neuroparadox3d agoChekhov's Geyser. There's a world where this could have worked, unfortunately we don't live in that world. This reminds me of when Adrien Brody did Predators, but that movie was kinda fun for what it was and this movie is no fun....explain how that is possible in a movie with dinosaurs ffs! 🦖🦕
- Dellvon C. FordDecember 6, 2024Great movie...the concept as excellent.....I really enjoyed the Land of the lost feel to the movie.....Although there wasn't a lot of dialouge... so much was said and expressed.......The special effects were top knotch... so was the cinematography for this type of genre....,The action wasn't over done....and everything seemed believable.....Oddly enough the ending was even decent....which h in today's time is rare......A great movie to watch with a date or when you're bored and need an aderiline rush.....
- Timeless CinemaJuly 11, 2025A decent sci-fi drama with fictional dinosaurs as a horror element woven into the story.
- Kevin WardJuly 3, 2025This ain’t exactly hard sci-fi. In fact most of the sci-fi elements are pretty dumb. The only plausible element was how every living thing on Earth thirsts for Adam Driver. As a popcorn flick though, the family and I had a great time. Jump scares abound and had my kids leaping from their seats more than a few times. The CGI ain’t great but it’s serviceable and it’s never distracting. Of course there are moments that massively stretch believability. Film reminded a lot of After Earth, but better….and with Adam Driver and dinosaurs. (How’s that for a ringing endorsement?). No, I probably won’t rewatch this one much (if ever) but I think I got exactly what I was looking for from Before Earth. And as always, it probably gets some bonus points for the Long Cold Open.
- GBWestJune 14, 2025What can I say? He is not Darth Phallic Symbol Jr in this one. This is a pretty enjoyable science fiction film as Adam Driver drives an intense performance carried mostly on expression alone. Don't misunderstand me, he's a pretty good actor when not playing Ben Solo (Darth Phallic Symbol Jr) trying to sleep with his sister like some sort of hillbilly... Oh, you missed the reference. Episode VII was based on an existing book in the franchise in which Ben and Ray Solo were siblings. ...anyway. I enjoyed this film, the cinematography, acting, sound, and special effects were believable, and well performed. Well done. 65 is a movie I might bring myself to see again.
- HumptyFebruary 20, 2025Would rate lower if I could. Movie is only good if you need to fall asleep.
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025Cool concept not executed greatly. I loved the sci-fi tech, especially the guns. The performance from Adam Driver was all right. The girl was so so. The CGI was kind of shit. Felt like a it dragged a little bit, especially the rock cave scene. The dinosaurs boss battles were fun though. Worth watching at least once even though a lil dumb.
- pipanniJune 6, 2025Entertaining and with good special effects.
- eckoryanApril 28, 2025Made for an interesting twist on our origins.
- Manuel FrangisMarch 9, 2025I went into 65 expecting at least some dumb fun. I mean, Adam Driver fighting dinosaurs with futuristic weapons? That should have been an easy win. Instead, what I got was one of the most painfully boring, lifeless sci-fi movies I’ve ever sat through. Right off the bat, the movie wastes its own premise. You’d think a film about a space traveler crash-landing on Earth 65 million years ago would be packed with action, tension, or at least some cool dinosaur fights. But nope, 65 somehow manages to make dinosaurs boring. There are barely any exciting action scenes, and when they do happen, they’re shot in such a dark, messy way that it’s hard to even tell what’s going on. The plot is paper-thin. Adam Driver plays Mills, a pilot who crash-lands on prehistoric Earth with one young survivor. That’s about it. The whole movie is just them wandering through generic-looking forests while avoiding dinosaurs that barely feel like a real threat. There’s no real character development, no emotional weight, and honestly, no reason to care about anything that happens. And let’s talk about the dinosaurs. You’d think they’d be the highlight, but somehow they look worse than the ones in Jurassic Park, which came out thirty years ago. The CGI is weirdly inconsistent, and the designs don’t even feel scientifically accurate. It’s like the filmmakers just threw together some random lizard monsters and called it a day. The pacing is brutal. The movie drags so much that even though it’s only 90 minutes long, it feels like three hours. There’s barely any dialogue, which might have worked if the atmosphere and visuals carried the movie, but they don’t. It’s just a slow, repetitive slog with no real stakes. Adam Driver does his best, but even he can’t save this disaster. He’s stuck with almost no dialogue and a character that has no real depth. You can tell he’s trying, but it’s like watching a great actor trapped in a bad movie with no way out. Final thoughts? This should have been Predator meets Jurassic Park, but instead, it’s a dull, pointless waste of time. I wouldn’t even recommend it as a “so bad it’s good” kind of movie. Just skip it.
