- moprJune 24, 2025Great movie fun
- gregorywamplerAugust 18, 2025One of Adam Sandler's better movies. Just the right amount of his over-the-top yelling mixed with a good 90s love story. Good messaging that your really don't get a lot of nowadays...
- Jakeys4d agoHas some heart and means well, but a requires a huge suspension of disbelief and can be a bit problematic. Great chemistry between Sandler and Barrymore, supporting cast is lackluster other than Sean Astin who is great.
- slider7420August 3, 2025I love this movie. It's about a man who meets a woman who can't remember from one day to the next and him making her fall in love with him over and over again.
- CallumNovember 6, 2025⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – 50 First Dates – Love, Memory, and the Magic of Starting Over 50 First Dates is one of Adam Sandler’s best — a romantic comedy that balances heart, humour, and just enough absurdity to make the impossible feel genuine. Set against the bright backdrop of Hawaii, it tells the story of Henry, a carefree vet who falls in love with Lucy, a woman whose short-term memory resets every night. Each day, he has to make her fall in love with him all over again. Sandler is at his most sincere here, softening his usual goofiness with genuine warmth. Drew Barrymore matches him beat for beat, radiating charm and innocence without ever feeling one-note. Together they turn what could’ve been a gimmick into a surprisingly tender exploration of love’s persistence. The familiar faces from Sandler’s circle add some goofy humour to keep things light, but it’s the chemistry between the leads that makes the film work. It’s sweet, funny, and quintessentially American in its optimism — a story where love conquers neurological impossibility and still manages to make you smile. Even knowing it’ll end happily doesn’t take away from the magic of watching it get there. 🥥 Pairing: A tropical piña colada — bright, sweet, and full of sunshine, perfect for a film that believes every day can be the first day of the rest of your love story.
- SaturnFoxDieAugust 31, 2025Awesome little movie. Excellent chick flick to watch with your beautiful wife.
- Shelley RoweAugust 3, 2025I think you need to understand and appreciate Adam Sandler's comedy to enjoy his movies! They've always got that 'weird' factor but it's all just playful. If you don't get his humour, then this and all of his movies won't sit well with you...I love it! Lol For me, this is a classic! It will never get old. I can watch this (and many other Adam Sandler movies) over and over again. They're just feel good movies!! Plus, Hawai'i is where my heart is, so watching this makes my heart smile. It'll always have 5/5 stars ✅ Adam Sandler ✅ Hawai'i ✅ Rom-Com Ok byee ✌🏼
- mbywaletzJuly 15, 2025Great RomCom
- mickerdooJuly 1, 2025One of the movies on the tail end of Sandler's career that didn't completely suck.
- Taurus LeihgeberFebruary 16, 2025Excellent movie!
- wf625June 30, 2025I just watched this movie and it was surprisingly decent I recommend it.
- DdoughnutJune 18, 2025I thought of 3 different reviews during the movie so here they all are. #1: Hi, I'm Dominic. 10 seconds later. Hi I'm Dominic. 10 seconds later. Hi I'm Dominic. #2: So, if she has to watch the VHS every day, wouldn't it be damaged by being overplayed? I mean, damage can happen if a tape is overplayed. #3: Had a mix of humor and heart that worked perfectly that made a very good movie.
- ርልዪረFebruary 7, 2025The general plot of this film is someone trying to make someone else fall in love with him every day and I have to say that I do find something to love in this film every time I see it. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore work well together in this and they are backed up by a great support cast. Henry first meets Lucy at a cafe and is surprised by how well they get on, considering that Henry is not after a relationship. But the next day, Lucy rebuffs him. It emerges that Lucy has severe short-term memory loss - she cannot remember anything that happened the day before, not helped by the fact that her protective father and brother have lived in a time warp by reliving the same day over and over again for Lucy's benefit. Henry sets about doing the seemingly-impossible - by trying to get involved in Lucy's life in the hope that she will eventually 'remember' him and have a relationship with Lucy. It is engaging, funny and tugs at a few heartstrings along the way. A great film to watch on a quiet night in.
