The whole story is about a kid that is a descendant of the Santa and can turn into Santa under certain conditions stirring lives of the other kids and adults around him. That's really only the front side of the things, because although the story is crazy and intriguing with sudden unexpected turns of events, at it's core it's a pretty much describing the world seen from the kids perspective. They are young but sometimes feel like adults, they are getting in terms with their bodies and emotions, don't understand the world around them and the restraints that adults try to impose on them and try to find their place in the world. The thing is that it's all shown not in the normal boring way, but in a crazy Fooly Cooly way. It's a ride of adolescence that is wild and wabi-sabi wasabi. Each episode is a pleasure to watch and turns our expectations on their head. It's simply the anime to wait for every week and the one that I will remember forever.
