The Guba family, members of a once wealthy banking family, fall into this impasse. After the bankruptcy of their bank and the arrest of bank director Antal Guba, they are forced to move back to this hopeless, boring village, Antal's hometown, where their house is barely big enough for them, and where everyone knows the influential Antal Guba only as Tóni.
