The construction of two "monster gateways" are featured. The first half covers the widening of the Panama Canal to allow larger ships to pass through. The second half features the construction of the Rion-Antirion Bridge across the Gulf of Corinth in Greece. The program was re-edited from two previous episodes of the series, with some new narration added.
