Jay and Jinn are longtime rivals and persistent friends. They can't see each other without exchanging insults or a harsh glance. - Jim Fox2026年1月12日I almost dropped this series because the first few episodes were complete cringe to me. But, I'm happy to say, it improved and I looked forward to each week's episode. SeaKeen showed their acting chops, a huge improvement over Only Boo. The supernatural element of this series made me enjoy it more. The rating being this low comes from cringe episodes in the beginning and an unclear ending; I had to go to the novel to understand that (spoiler alert) the visions were not of the future, but an alternative world's visions of past memories. The gods agreed to give J and Jinn a chance for long love to compensate for the tragedy that happened in the other world. Thus, the visions were not of J's future, but of alternative J's past, that's why he still saw Jinn dying at 30 because he did in the other world and that is unchangeable. But, since J stopped the chain of events, it's believed that Jinn won't die at 30 because his death was caused by bad choices he made in the 7 years he was separated from J after his mom's death. If they had made this clearer in the series, I wouldn't have been so confused and would have perhaps bumped the series up to 4 stars (although, really, I almost gave up in the beginning because the episodes were so cringe-worthy).
