Style, Excess, and the Search for Balance "Euphoria" is a series that thrives on intensity, constantly walking the line between raw emotional honesty and stylized exaggeration. It stands as a bold entry in modern television, one that isn't afraid to be uncomfortable, messy, or visually overwhelming in order to capture a specific kind of generational chaos. The performances are consistently strong and deeply committed. The characters feel volatile and exposed, often carrying scenes through sheer emotional weight. There's a sense that every actor fully leans into the material, which gives the series its authenticity even when the writing pushes things toward extremes. Visually, the show is striking and unmistakable. The cinematography, lighting, and use of color create an atmosphere that is both hypnotic and oppressive, turning every moment into something heightened. The soundtrack plays a crucial role in shaping that identity, blending seamlessly with the visuals to amplify mood and tension. Where the series becomes more uneven is in its writing across seasons. The first feels focused and impactful, balancing style with substance in a way that makes everything land with precision. As it progresses, the narrative leans more heavily into drama and intensity, sometimes feeling pushed rather than earned. Later developments attempt to recalibrate that balance, bringing back some control, but without fully recapturing the sharpness that made the earlier moments stand out. At times, the show's ambition works against it, with certain arcs feeling overstretched or overly indulgent. The emotional weight is always present, but not every storyline carries the same clarity or purpose, which can dilute the overall impact. In the end, "Euphoria" remains a powerful and visually distinctive series that leaves a strong impression, even when it loses some of its narrative discipline. It may not consistently reach its highest peaks, but its identity and intensity make it difficult to ignore.

This show is okay for a modern take on social stigma and substance abuse for modern times. However it has moments where it trys to portray imagtry instead of being gritty and raw which is imo a better way to tell the story. This story has been done much better in other shows but because its a newer show I think the younger generation finds it as their version of one tree hill hill or 90210 just more uncensored. If you want to watch a good show similar to this watch the U.K. version of skins they did this much better imo. This isnt a bad show it just could of been done a bit better for all the hype it gets. Solid 3/5

Great show but I am very much over seeing Sydney Sweeney's boobs, I get it she has an amazing set of BOOOBS can the storyline please progress past boobies?

The cinematography and soundtrack are a legitimate trip, almost all of the actors are on their A game. The ending to episode 1 leaves a lot dangling ;) ! It is modern, it is woke, but is also a war on drugs by showing the utter annihilation when you let addictive subtances into your life.

This show is just weird and depressing. I stopped watching after a couple of episodes into Season 2. I suspect a lot of other folks did too based on no Season 3. I'll echo Dude's review in that there are too many dicks. There is enough to play whack-a-mole Maybe that is your thing, who knows? You'd be hard pressed to survive a dick seeing drinking game based on how many you see.

Basically The Sydney Sweeney Goon Show... Oh but you may enjoy watching Zendaya basically get away with murder whilst CONSTANLY squinting uncomfortably in the background, middleground, foreground... hell, Whilst-in-the-ground!?! What will they think of next...

The metaphorical death of child to adult played out. The important drama of the individual teen. So well represented in the cast. Surviving the poignant yet utterly missable chapter of teenhood.

Solid show that depicts the current state of the USA culture perfectly. Euphoria has a lot of great moments, it's too bad that this is it, but the third season was practically perfection. Great acting chops and a solid visual throughout the entire epic finale.

Very stylized and dreamlike cinematography, with some great soundtracks and really good acting. As far as the actual story and the events that happen its all pretty damn weird, hard to summarize it. RIP Eric Dane & Angus Cloud

Great acting, and risky storytelling. You care about the characters and they all have deep nuance. I look forward to season 3.

Man, I miss this show. Sunday nights haven’t been the same since Euphoria stopped releasing. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and drama - it’s a bit weird when you take a step back and realize that these kids are supposed to be high schoolers. The show works as a super edgy, gritty teen drama - and the characters are all somewhat likeable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (out of 5) Euphoria – Chaos, beauty, and heartbreak under fluorescent lights. “Euphoria” is a raw, dazzling, and unapologetic look at adolescence in the modern age — but it’s far from a show just for teens. Led by Zendaya in a career-defining performance, it dives headfirst into drugs, death, addiction, family fractures, and the distorted reality of digital-age intimacy. It’s messy, magnetic, and uncomfortably honest. What makes Euphoria stand out isn’t just its subject matter, but the way it’s told — a hypnotic blend of cinematic visuals, surreal transitions, and emotional vulnerability. The cast, many of whom were still rising stars when the show debuted, deliver performances that feel painfully real. Each episode feels like a confession lit by neon and regret. It’s a hard-hitting teen drama that refuses to pull punches, exploring not just the chaos of youth but the systems that fail it — from parenting to pressure, love to loneliness. And for adults, it’s a mirror rather than a barrier: a reminder of how fragile people are, no matter their age. Season 3 has been long rumored, but with cast schedules and time passing, it may never arrive — perhaps fittingly, as Euphoria always felt like lightning in a bottle. Two seasons might just be the perfect dose: enough to leave you haunted, moved, and amazed at how something so beautiful can hurt so much.
