The TV series “Die Maiwald” follows Johanna Maiwald, a veterinarian in Maria Alm. She is an energetic middle-aged woman who cares for all the animals that her community and rural life have to offer—from a cow with an upset stomach to a cat that was nearly poisoned, a deer hit by a car, a depressed dog, and an injured calf. Johanna loves her profession and lives it with heart and dedication.
