Liz Doran

Liz Doran is an internationally acclaimed writer/producer known for her work on the much-loved shows, Please Like Me, Barons and Ready For This. Please Like Me and Ready for This were both nominated for International Emmy Awards and have been awarded multiple international and Australian awards.
In 2025, as show-runner/writer, Liz completed shooting a new Netflix 6-part re-imagining of Miles Franklin's classic novel, My Brilliant Career, which will be released in 2026.
Liz has worked as a writer for many drama series including Prosper, Dance Academy, Molly The Secret Life of Us. In 2020, she started Good Lark Productions and produced The Tailings, which screened on SBS On Demand and Topic (US), and went on to win the AACTA, SPA and AWGE awards for Best Short Form Fiction in 2022.
