- Kevin Ward2025年7月6日WWII vet and scorned lover gets revenge on his girlfriend and her new boyfriend…..also will not tolerate graduation dances. I had a good time watching this Saturday night, but it is definitely in large part because of Tom Savini’s effects. Full disclosure though, I was very inebriated during my watch and when trying to write my review hungover Sunday morning, I was very foggy on the plot. And had a lot of unanswered questions. Why does he hate graduation dances? Why a pitchfork? Why do people have no respect for the deputy sheriff? Why did he dig up Rosemary’s grave to put Lisa in there? What was with the final scene where dead guy Carl grabs Pam? So I rewatched the last half (more like 2/3rds) of this Sunday evening and I still don’t have the answers to any of those. Also, drunk me instantly knew who the killer was despite the various attempts at red herrings. So I didn’t have my mind blown like he did 🤯🔫. So Tom Savini MVP of this one, for sure. And probably still worth watching for that alone.
- eif9992025年7月4日I can see why it’s highly regarded amongst slasher films but outside of that world it’s only OK. The killer isn’t hard to figure out if you know the Morgan Freeman rule. It is strange, in 2025, to see how close the 50s were to the 80s. You know Farley Granger began every conversation on set with, “… well when I worked with Hitch…”
