監督:Kevin Macdonald西暦120年、名将アクイラ率いるローマ帝国最強の第九軍団の兵士5000名がカレドニアへと侵攻。しかし、同軍団は霧の中で忽然と姿を消し、再び故国へ戻ることはなかった…。それから20年後、アクイラの息子マーカスは、ローマ軍の立派な武将に成長したものの、戦闘中に重傷を負い、軍人生命を絶たれてしまう。絶望に沈む中、ある噂を聞き込んだ彼は、父と軍団の名誉を回復すべく、北の荒野へ向けて危険な旅に出発する。
