- jackmeat2025年9月14日My quick rating - 4.1/10. Apparently, the only place to check this one out is on AMC+ on Roku or at least that is what Justwatch has to say about it. Not saying you are going to want to jump at checking this out, though. It is more thinking that a building and a cruise liner are just too big for this movie to hijack. So they decided to take that Panic Room or Die Hard type idea and massively scale it down. I have to assume that the boats in Under Siege were out of the budget here, and I have now named all three movies that this flick has massively borrowed from to get its plot. This one has a rebel girl who, and someone should tell Ruby Rose that her sexual orientation and haircut do not make her the rebel star she thinks she is, inherits a superyacht. But she never knew the father that she was getting it from, nor why he was such a rich man. So in a twist of timing, you can see coming from a mile away, she ends up on her boat the night when the 3 thieves (PR) come and steal the ship. But they are not there to heist the boat but are there for the 80 million in cash that is tucked away in their multi-security-rigged safe (DH). This safe isn't exactly the difficulty that Hans Gruber had to deal with, but they still manage to make things far more difficult than they need to be. Add this to our stowaway roaming around trying to stay alive and cause just enough trouble to create a 94-minute movie. It has a very STV feel to it, and I guess these days, a straight-to-tier 2 streamer is about the same thing. I will admit the supporting cast does a decent enough job, which Frank Grillo normally does, and I do look forward to seeing Patrick Schwarzenegger get into a better role sometime soon, instead of the "bad guy #2" type spots. It hits your usual spots, including our star's fear of water? to add to the difficulty of escape. But it managed to avoid getting hero happy and showcase unbelievable fights or the like. I am referring to her pathetic displays on Batwoman, which luckily were NOT attempted again. Below average, but if you are a fan of anyone mentioned, you may get a bit of enjoyment. Aka The Yacht
