- ChaseServer2026年6月19日Truly an anime with real people. The world that the Wachowskis made in CGI feels unapologetic in its distance from any attempt to convey realism, and in doing so it is so stylish and timeless. Oftentimes CGI attempts to hide itself in realism, and this film embraces the CGI and leverages it to make visuals and convey kineticism in ways I have yet to see be matched by any other film. Some may find it overstimulating, and others will find it euphoric. The dialogue is nothing to write home about, but it has it's moments and each character feels charming and consistent I would still comfortably call the dialogue competent, but it was definitely not the focus of this film. The message is well put, if a bit blunt (of which I have no problem with) and its clear who the film wants us to root for, and why the other guys are evil, in a very real and understandable way.
- Casey Bryson2026年6月8日The new 4K Blu-Ray is pure eye candy in BT2020. Looks like they made it yesterday. Way ahead of its time! My originally screening was in Christie Digital and then 35mm film. Rave was in the middle of converting every house over to digital. As cool as it was then it doesn't hold a candle to the way it looks now. One of the best, if not the best for showing off BT2020.
- Sean McCluskey2025年2月11日While some may view Speed Racer as an unrefined, live action manga without much depth, I strongly disagree. Speed Racer is a work of art which unabashedly lives in its own world but somehow feels relatable with its many themes and deep emotional roots. The racing, color pallet, and technology are about as far from reality as possible but the family relationships, coming-of-age struggles, and large corporate corruption feel as real to the viewer as they do to the Racer Family. A true masterpiece.
- rudo372026年5月26日The script is weak and corny, the pace is all over the place, and the plot is surprisingly hard to follow. But, it is filmed like no other movie. The visuals are inspired. Not a single moment is visually boring. They took "show, don't tell" to the fartherst extreme they could. And while the plot is a bit convoluted, it is down to earth, and somehow realistic once you strip away the physics breaking cars. And once the pace settles into a comfortable speed, it's cruising comfortably till the end. This is truly a unique gem like no other and a fun ride.
- LD_502025年10月18日Ahead of its time and full of heart, Speed Racer is a perfect mixture between being absurd and mature in an oversaturated world that idolizes racing. On the surface, what may seem like an overly colorful world about cars that crash into one another, Speed Racer, is really a story about perseverance in the face of loss and disillusionment. Words cannot accurately describe the joy, frustration, and courage on display in this film and it is truly a must-see.
- Danielle2026年4月26日Truly a one of a kind experience. I went into this film knowing absolutely nothing and it made for quite the ride. Speechless at times, while some scenes left me as though I had gone through all stages of grief. Such Cinema - i showed it to all my friends a week after the first watch, and I just saw the re-release in theaters so I could witness all the glory on the big screen! From the second the movie starts it's petal to the metal! 10/10
- JSB2026年2月3日The Wachowskis' misunderstood masterpiece. This might come out wrong but it's the right amount of cheese and mediocre CGI for this film about a childrens cartoon. Everything felt very intentional and not like someone was half assing their job. I love the story, the wacky pacing, the characters. Its fun and silly while still feeling like quality. This to me was the Wachowski's last good film.
