ロサンゼルス上空に、突然いくつもの巨大飛行物体が飛来する。そこから発せられる青い光は誘蛾灯のように見たものを引きつけ、飛行物体は集まった人間たちを次々と吸い上げていく。偶然この街に来ていた青年ジャロッドと恋人エレインは、友人宅の高層マンションからこの恐るべき光景を目撃していた。ビルから脱出する計画も失敗に終わり、むなしく救助を待つ彼ら。やがて、ようやく現われた軍が決死の反撃を試みる。
- stuhannaford2025年12月16日The only thing more unforgivable than the movie itself, is that there have been, as of 2025, THREE sequels! The entire preamble is inconsequential, with the exception of a small lead in to the final twist, which itself is thoroughly lacking in interest value. For a Sci Fi, the CGI is extraordinarily ordinary, and the lack of basic physics knowledge (see crash landing jet on rooftop) beggars belief. Most of the action happens around the cast as opposed to involving them, which is also odd. It feels like the whole story was built around the twist revealed in the final few minutes, but nobody could be bothered to actually craft a story… and it is poor by any twist standard. Dreadful.
