- Richard2025年10月19日Saw this one in the cinema when it came out and it felt like Christmas got mugged by sarcasm and then hugged by sentiment. Bill Murray plays Frank Cross, a cynical TV exec who’s more interested in ratings than holiday spirit. It’s a modern retelling of A Christmas Carol, but with network satire, ghostly chaos and Murray doing his best “emotionally constipated but redeemable” routine. The ghosts are wild: David Johansen as a cab driving Ghost of Christmas Past, Carol Kane as a fairy with a mean right hook and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come looking like a TV tower from hell. The tone swings hard, one minute it’s slapstick, the next it’s existential dread. But somehow, it works. The ending is loud, messy and oddly moving. I loved the energy, the weirdness and the way it made adult years feel chaotic, sentimental and just a bit haunted.
