Some of the musical numbers feel out of place and disrupt the serious tone of the narrative. While the central conflict between the two leads is excellent, some of the supporting characters feel underdeveloped and are primarily used to move the plot forward rather than as fully realized individuals. Raid 2 is a strong follow-up that, despite some minor pacing issues, succeeds on the strength of its lead performances and a captivating, well-written plot.
