- Selina16時間前I loved this it was entertaining and action packed!
- A. Constantin2026年3月26日Such a silly movie, but I loved it :-D
- rg94002026年3月30日Pretty Lethal is excellent at some things and absolutely terrible at others. It has some incredibly stylish action sequences with some excellent choreography. The way it blends ballet seamlessly with the fights is really fantastic, and the result is some really cool imagery. I also thought the lighting was pretty good, lending to the stylized cinematography. The problem is that all the effort of the filmmakers went towards the action, and not towards the script. The script is bad. Bad is an understatement. It is absolutely atrocious. There are multiple moments in this movie that completely defy belief. Not in the sense of film logic or just being annoyed at characters doing dumb things. As in, I cannot believe the filmmakers expect me to believe that this could be actual reality. An example is a character manages to get caught sneaking around and gets out of it by saying she was having trouble with the Wi-Fi. Sheer stupidity. It's a shame because you don't need to have the deepest plot or characters for a movie like this -- there are plenty of examples like Ready or Not that aren't exactly renowned for their story. The problem is that when there are moments like this, it completely takes you out of the movie and makes it so cringey until the next action sequence rolls around. I also think the girls don't have the type of gravitas to fully carry this movie. Maddie Ziegler as Bones is actually decent, but the rest range from okay (Lana Condor) to annoying (Avintika). I want to be able to recommend this movie because there are certain scenes that are legitimately very good, but I can't because the rest of the movie is a pain to get through.
- ricomckee2026年4月5日Funny. Heartwarming. Super violent and bloody. reminds you of movies like Abigail and Jennifer's Body.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ2026年3月26日John Wick meets Black Swan Pretty Lethal is a "cheap and cheerful" Friday night adventure that succeeds more as a stylistic exercise than a deep character study. It’s a fun, fresh, and violent romp that benefits immensely from its unique choreography and Thurman’s scenery-chewing performance. While the plot is thin and the pacing uneven, it’s a solid choice for fans of the "girls with guns" subgenre who are looking for something with a bit more grace.
- VikingAF5日前Utter trash!!!! What the heck is Uma doing here, she’s better than that!
- Patrick Wai6日前What works here is the gleeful collision of violence and tongue-in-cheek suspense: the sets are gorgeous, the action is deliciously over the top, and Uma Thurman is a blast as a kind of maternal queen-bee assassin, giving off “Kill Bill headmistress” energy every time she glides onscreen. The problem is that whenever the movie pauses for character development, the pacing starts wheezing, mostly because the script and some of the performances are not nearly sharp enough to make those slower moments worth the detour. It really should have leaned harder into the “yes, this is completely ridiculous, and everyone will act like it’s just another Tuesday” vibe, because that is where the movie feels most alive. As it stands, it is a stylish, funny, nicely dressed little bloodbath that is very enjoyable in the moment but not especially memorable after. Honestly, it also feels like it could have made a fantastic side door into the John Wick universe, or even a cheeky prelude to Ballerina; it already has the couture, the carnage, and the elegant absurdity. It just needed a little more nerve.
- DavChar2026年4月14日This is a campy version of a horror/escape film, and I loved it. They fight everyone using kick-ass ballerina moves (yes, this has been used in other movies, so not anything new) and throwing out one-line zingers. They definitely had fun making this movie, and at some parts I was laughing with them. The fight scenes are good for the most part, and Uma Thurman is has a great time hamming it up. What a great ride! Make a sequel--I'm there for it!!
- Poulsen802026年4月27日Extreme teambuilding - not much else to say about this movie. It's an easy watch, the movie doesn't really try to tell a deeper story, get in, try to get out and reach the end destination. But if you just wanna sit back, look at the screen and turn off the brain for 100min, this is a perfect excuse, as overthinking this movie isn't possible. Entertaining action, that doesn't really wish to do anything else than keeping a high pace and entertain.
- jackmeat2026年3月29日My quick rating - 6.2/10. Pretty Lethal walks in wearing pointe shoes and immediately kicks you in the face. Gracefully, of course. The movie opens with a sincere little monologue about the brutal, soul-melting reality of being a ballerina, which might trick you into thinking this is some A24 trauma ballet. Then the opening practice scene hits, and the dancers are throwing hands like they're auditioning for Black Swan: Fight Club Edition. It’s the kind of tonal whiplash I live for on my movie reviews page, because Pretty Lethal clearly knows exactly what it is. A dark comedy–action–horror hybrid that refuses to apologize for any of its choices. Our five drenched dancers - Bones (Maddie Ziegler), Princess (Lana Condor), Grace (Avantika), Chloe (Millicent Simmonds), and Zoe (Iris Apatow) - wander into a mysterious inn after their bus breaks down, because nothing says “good life decisions” like instantly agreeing to change into tutus in a stranger’s house. But hey, there’s a stage! You’re already in dancewear! Why not loosen up those hamstrings while a guy upstairs is being branded on the tongue? The film doesn’t bother with believability. It leaps straight into chaos like a grand jete performed off a balcony. At the 18-minute mark, after someone’s brains hit the floor with the elegance of glitter scattering on marley, we finally get the title card for Pretty Lethal, and it feels earned. These girls don’t actually know how to fight, which makes the violence feel hilariously scrappy and weirdly satisfying. Ballet training becomes a weapon. Bruised toes and taped joints turn into improvised survival tools. It’s like watching Van Damme with better extension and more eyeliner. The choreography really is the secret sauce here. Pretty Lethal blends classical movements with combat in a way that feels fresh instead of gimmicky. A hiding sequence built entirely on dancer flexibility? An entire ensemble routine used to beat the hell out of a small army? Yes, thank you, more of that. And Bones delivers the line of the movie with absolute deadpan perfection after one girl gets drugged: “What kind of a ballerina doesn’t know how to throw up?” It should be on a T-shirt. Uma Thurman glides through her limited screentime like a sinister casting director who wandered in from a different, classier film but decided to stay because the carnage looked fun. Pretty Lethal never tries to be deep. It prefers being violent, silly, self-aware, and stylish. It flirts with horror, winks at its own absurdity, and pirouettes straight through logic into the land of guilty-pleasure gold. Is it high art? No. Did I enjoy watching ballerinas stage-combat a mob of henchmen like they’re auditioning for Swan Lake: The Apocalypse? Absolutely. This is the kind of ridiculous genre mashup I’ll happily add to the watchlist for anyone who loves action served with bruises, blood, and a perfectly pointed toe.
- petari22026年4月14日The movie is good for a one-time watch, especially if you’re into films where badass chicks take down a whole squad of bad guys.
- Devon Geathers2026年4月8日I think whoever made this was high when they wrote the script. I hope they make a sequel LOL
- flowing spirit2026年4月6日Don't expect any in depth story line or outstanding acting in this movie. Having said that, it is superb entertainment, outragious in its 'flexibility' and an excellent way to spend a couple of hours.
- Niztradamus2026年4月3日What could have been a fun movie turns out to be an exercise in misandry and racism... What a flop. Iris Apatow should also look for a different career path because that girl just cannot act. Every single man in this movie is bad. The evil queen bee is the only one that gets humanized and the ballet apparently is a martial art now. Absolutely ridiculous movie that truly tests your patience. As a man this movie is insulting to say the least. If I was Hungarian I would be even more pissed off at how they portrait my country. There were some cool scenes though and the sound design was good. The only two reasons this gets a 2 star rating.
