PERFECT DAYSの評価とレビュー
- MrTrivet2026年4月10日It’s a quiet, contemplative film that uses a magnifying glass to observe small, everyday rituals. The protagonist lives like an ascetic, consciously finding comfort in simplicity and repetition, as if he has discovered his own definition of meaning in these tiny routines. Each day feels similar, yet never identical; subtle differences in light, sound, and glances build a sense of purpose and fulfillment that felt almost therapeutic to me. This stoic order begins to crack when moments of unpredictability enter his world - some small, others revealing deeply hidden weaknesses or frustrations. Over time, we also uncover Hirayama’s profound loneliness, awkwardly masked by a shy smile, half-words, and looks full of kindness and understanding. Ultimately, the film reminds us that each of us has experienced our own “perfect days” - brief moments when ordinary life brought genuine happiness. And it is precisely the fragility and beauty of those moments that this story captures.

Listening to the pitter-patter of rain against the window in a dimly lit room. Thinking of nothing in particular, doing nothing of importance, and still being perfectly content in that moment, in that life. Koji Yakusho portrays the protagonist with the gentleness and depth of a lifetime of emotions that the movie only hints at, but is nonetheless felt through every action. The set design for the protagonist's house is one for the ages, and one of those imaginary places I can see myself turning to time and time again.

- UatuTheWatcher2026年3月21日It's a movie about mundane life, in different ways. While watching this movie you might think, where is this story going? Is something happening? Will his routine fall apart? Is he meeting someone? Maybe, maybe not... The story will make you conscious about simple things in your daily life. Those activities can be happy, a little sad or unexpected. It's all about your own perception. Overall, this movie was relaxing to experience and eye-opening in an interesting way. When I walked out of the cinema and looked around it made me feel very privileged about life. Every person experiences satisfactions in their own way. If you are a homeless, disabled, a CEO, a toiler-cleaner, happiness finds its way.
- rg94002024年11月1日I wanted to enjoy this movie a lot more than I eventually did. It has a beautiful score and a very gentle style of filmmaking. With limited dialogue, we follow our main character across his daily routine, seeing the subtle shifts in his emotions based on limited interactions with other characters. Conceptually, it is a very subdued approach with a potential to pack an emotional punch. In execution though, I found myself getting detached from the events at numerous points. Make no mistake, there are specific scenes where I was fully engaged, especially when it felt like we were going to get more about our protagonist's history. However, Wim Wenders often pulled back before actually giving us something substantial, instead leaving a lot to the viewer's imagination. Because of it, the movie feels like it *could* be brimming with depth, but to be honest, it never really gives us evidence of that depth. The characters are kept at an arm's distance, and this prevents the type of emotional connection and resonance that I prefer with movies. It also means that the ending feels abrupt because a lot of the side characters who have come in and out of the movie never really have their arcs resolved. I was impressed with the acting though, since all the communication happens through Koji Yakusho's face due to the limited dialogue.
- raindev_2025年7月5日A perfect movie.
- Kevin Ward2025年7月2日This is some ASMR right here. I could watch Hirayama (Koji Yakusho) clean toilets for an hour…..and I did. More than that, though, Perfect Days is a kind of celebration of the beauty of the world and almost a call to slow down and appreciate it. There’s a certain reverence for all things analog that permeates the aimless narrative (cassette tapes vs streaming music (killer soundtrack, btw), film photography vs digital (phone) photography). But mostly, it’s just about taking the time to enjoy life. Take pride in your work. Ride your bike. Take in your surroundings. Play Tic-Tac-Toe. Hug your sister. Play shadow tag. This isn’t gonna be everyone’s bag. It’s nonexistent narrative will frustrate some. It’s a beautifully presented film and it’s hard not to fall in love with Hirayama’s joy of life.
