But instead, the film leans into the emotional weight of time travel, forcing Zoya to confront what truly matters: not fixing the past, but embracing the present. One of the most haunting aspects of the movie is how it never fully explains the consequences of her looping. Every time she takes a pill, does she abandon a version of reality where her family is left confused and grieving? Are there multiple timelines where she just disappears mid-dinner? The movie leaves this unsettling question open, making the time travel mechanic feel less like a scientific tool and more like an existential dilemma. The final act is beautifully bittersweet. After countless loops, failed experiments, and moments of frustration, Zoya finally stops running. She spends her last moments with the people she loves, accepting her fate rather than trying to escape it.
