- Terry Phan2026年2月24日M3GAN is a very good film, in aspects such as Artificial Intelligence, family and Bereavement. Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster did a fantastic job as always keeping the budget low while making all the money back at the box office. It is true without a doubt that M3GAN is indeed very popular and to be fair, with the 2.0 that was released in 2025, the original M3GAN movie is always a great idea to rewatch and in order to refresh your mind. It might be "surprising" to some that M3GAN is a horror movie but I definitely saw the personality of M3GAN and I gotta say it has some potential to be improved on maybe it might be pushing it a little into the comedy side of things but a few out of line smirky comments here and there won't hurt because those moments were the best. I also really liked the relationship between Gemma and Cady and how it focussed on Bereavement and the loss of the parents of Cady, it really shows that M3GAN is just a toy and cannot replace a full human being. Also with the ending scene of rogue M3GAN I guess it could be extended a bit further or something since it only happened at around like when there was only 20 mins left of the movie but I'll let it slide ha. Very creative as little CGI was used to keep budget low and actors and animatronics were used. All in all I say that this film was very good, not being BIASED of anything if you're wondering.
- MrTrivet2026年1月22日It’s striking how close we are to achieving this level with tech - maybe not in robotics, but AI feels almost within reach. Let’s hope it’s not as deranged as the titular robot. M3GAN is quite entertaining. It’s clearly a genre film, yet it managed to break into mainstream popularity. It’s a bit like the ugly sister of Ex Machina: less elegant, more blunt, but still conceptually interesting. The acting is at best serviceable. I liked the hunt motif - a dark twist, a bit like a game of hide-and-kill. Perhaps the most interesting aspect was the commentary on child psychology. Cady’s increasingly bad behavior escalates under M3GAN’s care, showing that our attachment to technology can magnify problems rather than solve them, especially when human support and attention are lacking. Fun, occasionally tense, but ultimately quite predictable - yet despite my complaints, this $10k toy turned out to be a pretty decent commercial success.

Glad I saw this with a packed audience because most of what works with M3GAN are her subtle glances and her diminutive but foreboding dialogue quips that suggest to the audience the horrors that are about to come. And the audience was eating it all up before even a drop of blood was spilled. Unfortunately, there’s not a ton of blood that’s actually spilled. M3GAN definitely relies more on its humorous tone and fun character design than it’s scares or it’s blood. I saw this with my wife and daughter, though, who aren’t very big into horror and they both had a blast. So while maintaining the PG-13 rating definitely comes at a cost for blood lusting horror fans, I think there’s still lots of fun to be had and hopefully the rating will allow M3GAN to reach a broader audience. Fun experience with some great laughs and some precious needle drops also. I would recommend seeing this in a packed audience if you can. Oh yeah, and as always…don’t watch the trailers if you’ve somehow managed to avoid them. They definitely show a couple moments that would be much more effective as a surprise.
