While some of the special effects and set designs are undeniably dated, they add to the movie’s retro appeal rather than detract from the experience. The central concept remains compelling even decades later, especially in an age increasingly shaped by technology and surveillance. Logan’s Run is an enjoyable, thoughtful sci-fi classic that still entertains—and it’s exactly the kind of high-concept film that could benefit from a smart, modern remake.

Charming miniatures are the only redeeming quality of the shooting locations, the rest of which are clearly matte paintings, poorly disguised sound stages, and cheaply decorated mall interiors. None of the acting is deserving of an international motion picture release. Even the set pieces manage to be derivative and forgettable in what is otherwise an at least mildly intriguing premise. Avoid at all costs.
