- Hgroves2026年3月18日Very intriguing movie and riveting! The acting was on point and I would watch it again. I really like movies that are based on true events.
- Michael Surber2025年5月18日Based on a true story doesn't always mean it's a GOOD story. Not the case here, this one is simply riveting from start to finish. Understated acting on all parts lets the true nature of these people shine through. No way I could ever do something like this even under the best of circumstances. This was a slow mover but I was on the edge of my seat for most of it.
- chris williams2026年3月2日BREATHTAKING!!!!!
- Tiago Nazareth2025年3月30日Wow!! What an amazing miraculous true story! Although there wasn’t much character integration, the acting was engaging and fun, and the characters felt as realistic as the story. The movies short runtime didn’t allow for enough character development which I feel is essential in a true story film, especially for the person it’s about. Unfortunately, this isn't the case here as we dive into the core incident almost straight away, with time ticking fast. Its visual prowess, with great atmosphere and amazing cinematography of the underwater footage managed to hold it all together. Overall, "Last Breath' is a good movie. A well-executed thriller that is worth the watch to appreciate this incredible story.
- Örn Lúðvíksson2025年3月24日Acting is good, cinematography is good, Woody Harrelson is in this, I mean whats not to like? This story is crazy and I recommend this movie for a tuesday night watch. This is a true story, this actually happened for real. Where does one apply for a job like this? The money must be good, right?
- thehave12026年2月4日A good story, that lets you feel the pressure of jobs beyond anything most of us experience, recommended 100%.
- szupek2026年1月27日As a long time diver it's nice to see but I feel like the movie was rushed. Also a diver with that much training would keep the lead in front of him.
- The Gutter Monkey2026年1月14日It gave Hallmark Channel vibes at times, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
- capitolfi2025年3月18日It's a helluva story. And for anyone with even the slightest bit of claustrophobia or fear of drowning, the anxiety of the situation will only add to an already tense buildup. The cast is great. They aren't flashy performances, but they don't need to be. They're just all doing their best to remain calm and solve the problem at hand. No bullshit theatrics or unnecessary fluff. The story speaks for itself. Parkinson does a solid job as well, managing to put you on the bottom of the sea right alongside the divers. As someone who probably can't hold their breath more than a minute or so on dry land, it is instantly uncomfortable. Dangerous job doesn't begin to describe it.
- stuhannaford2025年12月26日Tense at times, but predictable. The fact it is a true story is a double edged sword to be honest… it draws you in with the real life aspect, but that in itself makes the finale somewhat obvious. An extraordinary situation, no doubt, but it has very little else to pad the movie out and feels a little light by the end, especially as the ins and outs all remain a scientific mystery. Interesting, not necessarily overly entertaining.
- Dmangus012025年11月19日A story that catches your attention, like wow.
- Quinny8402025年11月10日Short film , very interesting its based on a true story and hard to believe it is. Would recommend watching it.
- jackmeat2025年3月27日My quick rating - 6.8/10. This flick plunges us into the perilous world of deep-sea diving, following a team of seasoned saturation divers as they risk everything to save a trapped crewmate hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface. This gripping survival thriller delivers a tense, visceral experience that immerses you in the unforgiving environment of underwater maintenance, where danger lurks with every breath. The film’s strongest asset is its sheer realism. The underwater sequences feel suffocatingly claustrophobic, making it clear just how terrifying and intense this kind of work truly is, especially in the face of raging seas. The story is one of resilience, teamwork, and the unwavering bravery required for a job that keeps vital infrastructure running in some of the most hostile conditions on Earth. It sheds light on the often-overlooked world of saturation divers, whose work at depths of up to 1,000 feet ensures the Internet pipelines crisscrossing the ocean floor remain intact. While Last Breath isn’t the most emotionally charged film at first glance, it sneaks up on you with its human moments, delivering unexpected depth. The dynamic between Woody Harrelson, portraying a veteran diver on the brink of retirement, and Simu Liu, the younger, gung-ho counterpart, is serviceable but not groundbreaking. Their performances inside the diving “bell” are solid, though not the film’s highlight. Where the film truly shines is in its high-stakes boat sequences. The storm-tossed vessel, recreated with stunning CGI, brings a brutal authenticity to the film, making you feel every violent sway and crashing wave. Even if you’re familiar with the real-life story that inspired Last Breath, the film presents it in a way that still makes it worth the watch. Director Alex Parkinson nicely followed up his documentary about the same event (and same name) with this feature-length flick. It’s an intense, edge-of-your-seat experience that commands appreciation for the extreme dangers of deep-sea diving. Just maybe don’t watch it right before bed like I did. It’s the kind of movie that lingers with you, making you grateful for every breath you take on solid ground.
