Alcides and Georgina are two old people forgotten by the world who live in Ciudad Bolívar, in the suburbs of Bogotá. The woman lives her day to day in the company of her neighbor Guiselle, a beautiful 12-year-old girl who is mistreated daily by her father Facundo. After a violent argument with Facundo, Georgina dies, and since Alcides wants to provide her with a dignified funeral, he undertakes a pilgrimage through the city, with her corpse in a cart, in search of the resources to bury her.
