- banquo222025年12月31日"Strikeouts are fascist" There's a lot going on with not much going on. Just one more inning...
- ebd3212025年12月27日"You can tell when its an Eephus. It stays in the air forever. You get bored watching it. I get bored." The best part of the film is the scorekeeper and the quotes from baseball greats between acts. Given the film's quoted definition, Eephus was the perfect title.
- Kevin Ward2025年12月10日Perfectly captures the hangout vibe of the adult softball leagues I’ve been a part of. A bunch of people finding community in participating in this “kids game” together, yet also at times taking it very seriously, treating it almost professionally. There’s a sadness that looms over the film, namely the impending destruction of their ballpark. It’s not mentioned often, but you feel it in every moment as the players attempt to hang onto every fleeting moment, extending the game well after the daylight would allow reasonable playability and point their cars headlights towards the field. I feel like this will be me when they’re tearing down my local movie theater after Netflix has bought the last movie studio.
- falker2025年8月26日"I guess I'll be my own third base coach" A warm, endearing, almost Sunday night movie feeling. This is what a baseball movie should be sometimes - just people loving the game no matter where they are in life. It's a day on the field they'll never forget, and at the same time it just never ends. Sure, sometimes it can feel like it's dragging on a lot longer than it should, but that's the point. It effortlessly grinds itself down in places where you feel the same way as these people in the game. And that's what makes it so good.
- cultfilmliker2025年9月8日“Strikeouts are fascist.” What terrible base running! It’s like watching a rec game from behind home plate Basically all of the testosterone and malaise of Dazed & Confused, aged 30 years, and with weaker material / humor Definitely has Carson Lund’s distinct goofy (and beautiful) style. It’s very realist but for some reason the combo with the cinematography and editing / timing makes it feel very artificial?? Good writing and decent acting, but I find the direction very strange. (yes, I understand how it sets the tone / humor) Idk it’s still cute tho. Also found the famous adages more annoying than anything lmfao What an interesting ensemble of a cast lol from Hell House LLC to TWO (2) people from Uncut Gems!!
- NetzerFlix2025年4月20日For the love of baseball. That is Eephus in a nutshell. Each player was probably great at one point or another. But now, their bodies fail them, and in their minds they're capable of making every play. A lot of heart and characters bring this movie to life. All for the love of baseball.
