- Jeremiah2026年6月15日Tiny budget serial killer bio that feels like it could sit next to all those late 90s/early 00s serial killer movies like Ed Gein, Dahmer, Gacy, and so on. But to be honest it’s prob worse than all those and none of those are great. Acting is real bad across the board, except in sparse moments. Where the acting and the scene and situation can make it all just a bit unsettling. Some decisions like to have a halloween satan torment the mind of young Kemper is definitely a choice. Almost fine considering how bad the rest is, it fits in. For the most part it doesnt shy away from the kills, but the choice to do very apparent digital effects versus what could be visceral real effects woulda done wonders for the flick. The black humor would work better if the whole movie was just a few steps up. As it is though just feels like another cheapness this movie festers in.

I mean, the whole story of Ed Kemper is odd, but this movie was odd in a sense that the acting seemed horrible, but I’m not sure if it was intentional due to the madness of the family as well as the time period…? It was also very underproduced which again, could be because of the grittiness of the crime. It wasn’t horrible, but definitely not a big budget.
