The first half starts out pretty engaging, but after that, the story just drags on and on. The acting is good across the board, but the weak execution makes it a disappointment.

Ambitiously, Hirani aimed to make a social statement about global migration with the help of India’s biggest star. Instead of focusing on the problems that causes people to leave India, Dunki undercuts its own message - making a Bollywood film for a global audience instead of one for an Indian audience.
