The story is about a father and his sons--all three roles played by Sivaji Ganesan. One son who had disappeared shortly after his birth reappears, spends time with his father, and solves the remaining problem of the family. The father tells his wife he has the perfect gift for her birthday and presents the long-lost son. At the end the long-lost son tragically dies in front of his brother and parents after saving them from the Goons.
