It wasn’t just another adventure movie; it was my fantasy—spies, secret missions, and a video game that actually mattered. I loved my Atari, so the idea that a simple cartridge could hide real espionage secrets seemed absolutely awesome at the time, not ridiculous. The mix of suspense, chases, and a kid who actually knows more than the adults pulled me right in. Henry Thomas made it easy to imagine I could stumble into something huge just by playing games and paying attention. Looking back, some parts are definitely over the top, but as a childhood experience, Cloak & Dagger was pure wish fulfillment: dangerous, exciting, and just believable enough to make me glance at my own game cartridges and wonder, “What if…?”

11-year-old Davey, whose mother is dead and whose father doesn't spend nearly enough time with him. So the boy loses himself in video games--and even has an imaginary friend, a super-resourceful secret agent. When he accidentally comes into possession of a spy group's secret plans, and winds up on the run from them, he must learn to rely on himself and his imaginary pal to save his skin.
