- Callum2025年12月29日⭐⭐½ – Baywatch – New stars on new beaches. It was nice seeing some of the original cast pop back up, but if that nostalgia is doing part of the heavy lifting to get people through the door, it does quietly suggest the original had something this version doesn’t quite recapture. Honestly, the film is pretty much exactly what you’d expect. The story is serviceable at best — nothing particularly sharp or memorable — and mostly exists to shuttle the cast from one set-piece to the next. It never really pulls you in, but it also doesn’t overstay its welcome. What keeps it afloat is the humour. A lot of it is dry, self-aware, and deliberately stupid, which I don’t mind at all. A few moments genuinely caught me off guard and earned proper laughs, which was more than I expected going in. The film knows it’s silly and largely rolls with that instead of pretending it’s smarter than it is. Technically and narratively, it’s nothing special. But as switch-your-brain-off viewing, it does the job. I wouldn’t rush back for a rewatch, but I don’t regret the time spent either. 🍹 A sugary beach cocktail — bright, forgettable, and perfectly fine while you’re having it.
- ርልዪረ2025年2月23日It's a comedy, it's funny and has a vague storyline. This movie is basically an amazing homage to both Baywatch series, but appears to have been written for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I was not expecting much, but actually enjoyed this movie. It looks like it has been written for Dwayne and Effron and they both shine during the film. This is the first time that I have seen anything in a Zac Effron movie, but has changed my opinion and I actually enjoy his movies now. I particularly enjoyed the references to the stars previous highlights, being brought forward to a new generation. The best part of the movie for me may have been the co-stars. It has given us the chance to invest time and emotions into upcoming stars. Little mitch is a nice touch too.
