- Richard2025年12月13日I saw this one in an open air cinema when it first came out and the whole event was as memorable as the film itself. There was even a Pamela Anderson look alike dressed as Barb Wire, posing for photos, the perfect bit of ’90s promo spectacle. The movie itself is pure mid 90's pulp: Pamela Anderson as Barb Wire, nightclub owner and reluctant heroine during the “Second American Civil War.” It’s basically Casablanca re‑imagined with leather, explosions and comic book grit. Anderson leans into the role with campy charisma, while Temuera Morrison and Steve Railsback fill out the supporting cast. On the big screen under the night sky, the neon lit sets and over the top action had a certain charm, even if the film itself was more style than substance. The plot is thin, the dialogue clunky, but it knows exactly what kind of movie it is, a cult curiosity that rides on Pamela’s star power and the comic book aesthetic.
