- Kevin Ward2025年7月2日Devil Wears Kuato Hannah, a burgeoning fashion designer, battles her inner demons and self doubt as it manifests into a literal monster that emerges from her gut. The allegory plays out a bit on the nose, but has some pretty fun practical effects. I think the first half of the film worked best as Hannah’s discovering what the hell this thing is. Moments where her appendage repeats back the negative things the people in Hannah’s life have said to her were really effective. But in the latter half of the movie there are some very strange turns that I don’t necessarily think worked very well, thematically. I liked it overall, but it’s probably not a film that stays with me for very long.
