- 0 12025年12月26日I liked "A Prophet" much more than The Godfather, which it pays homage to late in the film. The action sequences are stronger, the script is excellent, and the back and forth between the two main characters is what drives the film. You watch the main character as he undergoes a moral transformation from petty uneducated criminal, to more serious organized crime. The movie highlights the struggles faced by immigrants and minority groups in France, portraying a society that leaves little room for outsiders unless they fully adopt the French language, nationality, and abandon their previous cultural identity.
