On their way to a new destination, a young investigator, Seva Pashin, turns out to be a murder suspect. In the provincial Ensk, the case is transferred to the CSS, the hero's father, Major General Evgeniy Aleksandrovich, is furious. He sent his son from Moscow to become a man, and he again got into trouble. The general gives Seva two days to sort things out. An overwhelming task is made possible thanks to a strange character from the local police department - a crime photographer nicknamed Pykha. With him, Seva quickly finds the real killer. Impressed by Pykha's abilities, Seva begs his father to help him stay in Ensk.

The case is being investigated by the homicide department of the Zavolzhsky District Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Ensk: an investigative team consisting of a senior investigator, Major Yevgeny Churilov, Captain Ilya Verkhovsky, detective Eduard Krasavchek and forensic expert Tatyana Sokolova. E20Грязные деньгиWithin one day, three people are killed at once in Ensk. Pyha comes on the trail of the criminal, having guessed that all the victims were involved in one old bank robbery. Then a guard was killed and fifty million were stolen and never found. A false Galkin is announced in the city, who turns out to have joint business with General Pashin. Their communication is photographed by Pyha. He calls Seva to arrange a meeting, but instead the message is answered by the general himself, who comes to the meeting and demands a compromising photo from Pykha.
