E1ScarecrowKurtan is focusing his attentions on the annual village scarecrow festival, a key event in the village calendar that can both unite and divide the community. Tensions run high when his chances of winning the competition are compromised by being given a less than ideal plot to display his scarecrow. Meanwhile, Kerry faces a challenge to her authority. - Mandy
E2MandyKerry and Kurtan run foul of the village by celebrating, rather than mourning, the death of their old teacher Mr Perkins, though Kurtan is more obsessed with tracking down old school-mate Robert Robinson, a quest ending in disappointment. Kerry meanwhile agrees to her friend Mandy giving her a free tattoo despite Mandy's habit of sinking into catatonic trances. - Oven Space
E3Oven SpaceKurtan calls on Kerry and argues with her over cooking a pizza, which turns out to be inedible. They are awaiting the release from prison of their Uncle Nuggett, falsely accused, they claim, of stealing a bus. Kurtan later admits he is frightened of Nugget but he need not worry as his uncle is arrested for further crimes on the way home. - King of the Nerds
E4King of the NerdsKerry and Kurtan attend a talk at the village hall with a business woman who runs what may or may not be a pyramid scheme. Kerry is inspired and starts a career as a door-to-door saleswoman. However, her focus on the business leads to disharmony with Kurtan, and this is only compounded when he makes some new friends in the village.
