- Thomas Jung22 febbraio 2026I know nothing about cheerleading, but this show makes me laugh out loud more than just about any other. If you like shows with a bit of absurd humor (but not slapstick) then this is the show for you.
- Delroy G James16 novembre 2025I don't know what to make of this yet, but I can see it follows the absurdity in modern documentary style sitcoms, and this one is about 1 main character, but I can see it expanding over time. So far, it is watchable. Edit: After 12 episodes, this is one of faves now. It has heart and makes me laugh. Now I know why the viewer ratings is 94%.
- (Kaelyn, Social Media Manager) Decorated cheer coach Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon) gets fired after a video of her partying with her squad goes public, and has to start completely over at a tiny junior college — building a ragtag team called the Buttons from scratch, one win away from a record she's been chasing her whole career. It's a mockumentary, so think The Office, but make it competitive cheer. And it caught me off guard. I expected a light comedy and got something with real heart under the jokes — funny in a way that sneaks up on you, then lands somewhere tender. Jenn Lyon and Taran Killam (as her football-coach husband, Boon) are so good together; the whole thing works because they fully commit. But the Buttons are where the magic lives — Dimarcus (Jarrett Austin Brown), Krystal (Anissa Borrego), Madonna (Arianna Davis), Peaches (Taylor Dunbar), Sally (Georgie Murphy), and Steven (Ryan Pinkston). Every one of them steals scenes, and I can't wait to see where they all go next. Kristin Chenoweth recurring as Courteney's former assistant coach, Tammy, is the cherry on top. Which is why the cancellation stings. NBC pulled it after one season, and I think this is a show fans could bring back if enough of us show up for it. All 13 episodes are on Peacock. Go watch it. Highly recommend — then tell everyone. Who was your favorite Button?

Courteney Potter was tied for the "winningest" coach in Junior College Cheer history--until she had a huge fall from grace when a scandalous video emerged of her partying with her team. Unfortunately for her, that event forced her to take a job coaching at a small, crappy school in a town with an unpronounceable name. Can she win the championship with a ragtag team of misfits?
