Star Blazers
Dove guardare Star Blazers
- Dario2 gg faAn old battleship is rebuilt as a spacecraft and sent 148,000 light-years away to retrieve the technology that might save Earth. It's a ridiculous premise, brilliantly designed and unexpectedly moving. What distinguishes Star Blazers from much of the children's animation of its time is its commitment to a continuing story. The crew grow older, suffer losses and make mistakes along the way. Some animation and character writing have aged poorly, and the military symbolism deserves scrutiny, but the combination of the Yamato's design, Hiroshi Miyagawa's score and the emotional cost of the journey remains remarkably effective. A genuine landmark of television science fiction.
