Smiling Friends Inc. è una piccola azienda il cui scopo principale è portare felicità e far sorridere le persone. La serie segue la vita quotidiana e le disavventure dei suoi rappresentanti, il pigro e cinico Charlie, e l'allegra e ottimista Pim, mentre cercano di rallegrare e confortare le persone in difficoltà che chiamano la hotline della loro compagnia. Ricevono richieste apparentemente semplici ma i lavori si rivelano più complicati di quanto sembri, rendendo difficile portare la felicità nel mondo.
