Petersburg Secrets is a Russian drama television series based on the novel Petersburg Slums by Vsevolod Krestovsky (1867). The action of the adventurous melodrama takes place in St. Petersburg in the late 1830s. In the atmosphere of romantic white nights, terrible things happen under the arches of luxurious palaces and in the back streets of gloomy, fetid slums: vice, betrayal, betrayal, brutal murders.
