- Aston Martin & MotecE1
Aston Martin & MotecThis episode covers someone a little bit different for HPF, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. HPF fit and tune a Motec M800 to the baby Aston to prepare the car for racing events including Targa Tasmania. We also head out to Motec themselves for information and advice on integrating the M800 into the complex Aston Martin System, and Motec founder Richard Bendell tells us about the history and future of Motec. - Targa Tasmania Pt1E4
Targa Tasmania Pt1This episode is arguably the highlight of this second season of Oz Garage. Rob heads down to beautiful Tasmania to support the Horsepower Factory prepared EVO 8 of Stephen Bradford in his Targa Tasmania 2010 Campaign. This is the first of two episodes that captures the stunning Tasmanian landscape as well as the action and emotion of the grueling week long event. See the ups and downs as well as plenty of in car action from some of the best roads in the country. - E85 FuelE6
E85 FuelHPF upgrade the fuel systems and setup Steves Evo8 and Charlies GTO to run on E85 and see how the results compare on a very different cars. We also have a chat with Charlie about his magnificent GTO. Eager to learn more about the use of ethanol based fuels in motorsport we head down to our friends at Garry Rogers Motorsport to see how the use of E85 has impacted V8 Supercars. - SuperchargersE7
SuperchargersRob goes back to his horsepower hero winning past when he gets to work adding some forced induction to a pretty serious Holden V8. See how adding some boost in the way of a Yella Terra Whipple kit to an already heavily modified motor affects the power and how it drives. Have you ever wondered about the difference between a centrifugal style supercharger and a positive displacement supercharger, or how a supercharger is different to a turbocharger? Rob will show you the differences on the bench and explain how they work and the results you will get. - 300CE8
300CThe Chrysler 300C has certainly made an impact on the modified car scene world wide and Australia is no exception. HPF have been lucky enough to have modified many 300C’s for customers from mild upgrades to all out stroked and blown monsters. This time we test the performance of a standard SRT8, then perform a series of upgrades including a Vortech centrifugal supercharger, exhaust and stall converter. Rob explains each of the components then you’ll see how the modified version compares in both performance and driveability. - Exhaust ComparoE9
Exhaust ComparoExhaust systems are one of the first modifications people make with their cars and as such there is great variation in options available and just as many opinions of which is best. With this in mind we bring you a test of several of HPF’s more popular exhaust combinations back to back on a 6.2l LS3 powered VE HSV. This is the first time Horsepower Factory have done a back to back comparison like this and the results were definitely surprising. Plus, with Rob running through the exhaust systems and the variations in components there is plenty of tech content for those with a thirst for knowledge! - NOSE10
NOSWe’ve featured many different methods of increasing the performance of vehicles over the last two seasons of Oz Garage, but there is one kind of performance upgrade that we have neglected, Nitrous Oxide. Come to HPF and check out what makes up a Nitrous kit, how it works and most importantly how much it increases the power output of an already modified LS3 engine.
