48 persone sopravvivono ad un tremendo disastro aereo e si ritrovano dispersi su un'isola dell'Oceano Pacifico che sembra completamente disabitata. Ognuno di loro ha una sua storia, ognuno di loro nasconde dei segreti. Ma tutti quanti sono consapevoli che, se vogliono continuare a vivere, debbono collaborare, superare le avversità e le divisioni personali e sperare in un soccorso che potrebbe anche non arrivare mai.
