Living together is not easy - if you are an eccentric frog, a daydreaming piglet, a walking disaster of a dog or another one of the bunch of peculiar animals on this small farm. But no matter what, Lena loves them all the same. Each episode focuses on a different animal, sometimes a small group of two or three animals. The series is about how they interact with each other in this small, manageable society. Most of the animals appear several times in the series, and we get to know their special characteristics better. The squirrel, for example, is characterized by the conflict between its greed-like hoarding behavior and its compassionate heart. Each episode of Lena's Farm can be understood as a complete film in its own right. However, there are also moments where the narrative thread of another episode is taken up again. The order of the episodes is loosely determined by the changing seasons from spring to winter.
