The story takes place in Srednerechensk, a town nor far from Moscow. There, captain Andrey Kubankov, also known as Kuba, is trying to get a fresh start. Kuba recently served in a motorised regiment but was dismissed for fighting with the commander who stole Kuba's wife. Kuba returns to his hometown, seeing no other solution but to drown his sorrows. That is, until he meets Erika. She's helping him to change his life and become whole again when suddenly she's kidnapped. Kuba will have to use his military skills once more to save the woman he loves.
