- flavo4326 novembre 2025Knight Rider was the definition of cool for an entire generation. A sleek, black Pontiac Firebird Trans Am; a charismatic and effortlessly stylish leading man; and, of course, KITT—the witty, sarcastic, and impossibly advanced AI companion who stole every scene. As a kid, this was the show that motivated me to finish my homework just so I could sit in front of the TV and soak in every turbo boost, car chase, and crime-fighting adventure. Watching it as an adult, I can admit it’s campy, cheesy, and hilariously repetitive. The plots often blur together, the stunts occasionally defy physics, and the dialogue can be gloriously over the top. But none of that matters. Knight Rider wasn’t trying to be prestige drama—it was pure, imaginative, futuristic fun at a time when kids dreamed of talking cars and high-tech heroes. For what it meant to me in my youth, the show remains iconic, unforgettable, and absolutely inspired.
- ርልዪረ12 luglio 2025I like this show a lot. Not as much as, say, The A-Team, but it was great fun! As others have pointed out, some people get a real stick up the butt and complain that its corny, implausible, some of the acting is dodgy etc... So if we agree, whats the problem? lol But seriously, what do you expect from a show like this? A new Shakespeare? Does everything have to reach that standard of excellence? Surely there's nothing wrong with some light-hearted fun. If you're still not convinced that this was from the golden age of TV, turn on your TV set and just see how things have improved since those awful 80's. Have a look at the horse doo doo passing for entertainment THESE days. "Reality" TV shows featuring half-wits sleeping, sitting on sofa's or getting drunk and talking rubbish (Big Brother, anyone?). Tons of similar, generic sit-coms that need to have laugh tracks to let you know when to laugh (ever sit there and think "was that the funny part?"), propaganda channels posing as news, MTV is a shadow of what it used to be... Yeah, thank God the 80's are over and Knight Rider is a thing of the past, huh? The trouble with comedies these days is that they take themselves too seriously. There always has to be a serious love story alongside the "comedy", always some feigning of intelligence and seriousness going on. I wish the people making TV shows these days would realise that you don't need that boring rubbish. Shows like Knight Rider were corny, implausible, but GREAT fun!
- Zbigniew Czachor25 agosto 2025I loved this show as a kid. Nostalgia.
- Cubane31 ottobre 2025Much like a cheap margarita, there's absolutely no nutritional or intellectual value here. But let's be honest, you're gonna order it anyway. I started watching for the car, but I kept watching for the effects. They had no option but to wreck real cars and light up real gas bombs for the action, and I'm very much here for it. In spite of writing and acting well beyond the sell-by date, this show managed to win me over.
- Richard18 ottobre 2025Saw this one on TV in the early '80s. It was all about the car. KITT wasn’t just a vehicle, he was a sarcastic, bulletproof, turbo-boosted sidekick. David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight had the hair, the leather jacket and the slow motion exits. The plots were formulaic: bad guys, explosions, moral lesson, drive off into the sunset. But as a teen, it felt epic. The red scanner light, the dashboard voice, the theme music, it all stuck. KITT was cooler than any superhero. Michael was just the guy pressing buttons.
- Gregory Uytdewilligen13 novembre 2024As one of the TV shows that have received legendary status during my childhood, I am too biased to make an objective review.
