Freddy's Nightmares Ratings e Recensioni
- Callum27 ottobre 2025⭐⭐⭐ (out of 5) Freddy’s Nightmares – Elm Street’s midnight stories from the man of your dreams. “Freddy’s Nightmares” is a strange and fascinating relic of late-’80s horror television — part anthology, part fever dream, and all wrapped in the twisted grin of Freddy Krueger himself. Spinning off from the Nightmare on Elm Street films, the series turns Freddy into both host and occasional tormentor, introducing a new tale of terror each episode from the cursed town of Springwood. It’s not Shakespeare, but it was never trying to be. The stories range from creepy to campy, with production values that scream late-night cable and writing that veers between surprisingly clever and gloriously ridiculous. Still, there’s a certain charm to the whole affair — a pulpy mix of nightmares, morality tales, and dark humour that makes it feel like Tales from the Crypt’s scruffier cousin. Robert Englund, as always, is the glue that holds it all together. His Freddy is still wickedly fun, winking at the camera while dragging new victims into his dreamscape. It’s uneven, dated, and at times nonsensical — but it’s also entertaining in that “grab some popcorn and don’t think too hard” kind of way. Freddy’s Nightmares may not haunt you forever, but it’s a nostalgic slice of horror TV history — and proof that sometimes, even nightmares can be fun.
