    “Man, being small again makes me super hungry!” Dragon Ball DAIMA brings back the adventurous charm that made early Dragon Ball so special. Watching Goku and the crew turned small again somehow makes the world feel big and fun all over, with great animation, classic humor, and that sense of goofy adventure I feel has been missing. It feels like a love letter to old-school Dragon Ball while still delivering exciting fights and heartfelt moments.

    Damn, this is good! Dragon Ball DAIMA channels some of the very best of the entire franchise in a relatively short run. It's genuinely hard not to smile when you're watching Kid Goku beat down more bad guys like in the original Dragon Ball series. Akira Toriyama, thank you for this incredible finale to your work in general. Rest in peace, good sir.

    Top-notch animation. I wish Super were this quality. The story was back to the roots and had an old-school Dragon Ball adventure feel. Plenty of fan service toward the end if you're willing to look past how it affects canon.
