DIY SOS is a British DIY television series made for the BBC, presented by Nick Knowles. The first episode was broadcast on 7 October 1999 and the show is still airing today. As well as being a DIY programme it also features comic relief from the cast.

BuryMichelle and Rod's six-year-old daughter Maddie has a rare brain disease which has left her struggling to walk and talk. The Malones have spent the last two years adapting their home so that it works for Maddie's condition but unforeseen problems with the build have left them living in just a couple of rooms in a house that is unsafe. Nick and the boys are joined by flamboyant designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and an army of local trades who come together to finish off the house.
